Well, at last the release date for Brave on DVD, Blu-ray, and Blu-ray 3D has arrived! November 13, 2012, bring home Pixar's latest masterpiece! There has been lots of cover art for Brave floating around, so I only know that the pic on the right and above are confirmed. Charlotte la Bouff

Yay! Another heroine! Charlotte la Bouff will be added today. She is from the Princess and the Frog. Although she almost became a princess, she let Tiana marry Prince Naveen instead since they were in love. She is certaintly a very hyper, spoiled daughter of the mayor of New Orleans, but she has a good heart within.

Giselle

Today's heroine will be yet another girl who was originally part of the Disney Princess line, Giselle. She was in fact, intended to be kept in the official lineup until Disney found out they would have to pay Amy Adams for using her likeness on the dolls. I certaintly wish that hadn't been the case so we could still be seeing lovely Enchanted merchandise everywhere. She certaintly is a beautiful lass, especially the animated version. I will have to get my hands on one of the dolls with DP packaging before they get too scarce!

Megara

Today's featured heroine will be Megara, from Hercules. It's so sad she wasn't added to the Disney Princess line. She is quite unique, and besides, Hercules IS a son of the gods, so wouldn't that make her princess-like? Oh, well, she has a place here!

Esmeralda

Now that I have Merida's page up and running, I will be adding Esmeralda today. She is from the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Merida Introduced in Brave

With the new Pixar movie, Brave comes a new heroine, Princess Merida! Her fiery red hair and independent attitude makes this girl seem like very determined lass. She is determined to curve her own path in life and change her fate. Brave released to theaters June 22nd, 2012.

Over the course of a couple of weeks, I will be adding posts all every Disney Heroine, the Disney girls who are not part of the Disney Princess line. Merida, Esmeralda, Megara, Jane (from Tarzan), Wendy, Shanti, Melody, and Charlotte La Bouffe are only a few! After that, I will begin updating with any news I find of those characters, whether it be new dolls, movie releases, or adding another girl to the line!
