Charlotte la Bouff is the daughter of the mayor of New Orleans. She is quite hyper-active and a bit spoiled by her father. Prince Naveen stays at her house during his visit to New Orleans, and is to marry him. However, upon discovering her friend Tiana and the real Naveen have been turned into frogs, she attempts to save them. Although she is to late, she lets Tiana marry Naveen instead, showing how kind her heart is within. She is quite a fashion diva too, and absolutely loves pink!
The Princess and the Frog was first released in theaters in New York and Los Angeles November 25, 2009, before releasing in theaters nationwide December 11, 2009. It was originally going to be released on Christmas Day, but due to Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakel being released that day, it was bumped up a week.
The Princess and the Frog was brought to home media March 16, 2010 on DVD and Blu-ray.
