Giselle

Unlike many of the other girls who are Disney Princesses, or once were, Giselle is both animated and played by a real actress Amy Adams in the movie Enchanted. Giselle lives in a magical world called Andalasia where animals can talk and there are always happy endings. She is to marry her love the next day. However, her  Prince Edward's stepmother, Queen Narissa is determined to keep her throne. She sends Giselle to New York City, a place Narissa says has no "happy endings." Giselle must find a way to get back home, while meeting new people along the way.

Enchanted was released in theaters November 21, 2007 in 3730 theaters. It was released on DVD and Blu-ray March 18, 2008.

An Enchanted video game was released for Nintendo DS and mobile phones. A prequel called Enchanted: Once Upon Andalasia was released for Gameboy Advance.

Giselle was once marketed as a Disney Princess with several dolls in the traditional DP packaging. Due to the fact that Disney would have to pay Amy Adams for using her likeness on the dolls, Giselle was eventually dropped from the line.
